What to expect

At Word of Life Church we want you to come the way you feel most comfortable. If you like to dress up then dress up, but if you like jeans and a t-shirt then come like that. When you walk through our doors you should expect to be loved. There will be a lot of people wanting to greet you and maybe a few grandmas who want to hug you. Our motto is simple: Everyone is welcome to come just as they are, but we don’t want anyone to stay the same!

First, let’s talk about parking. You can park in the back of the building off of 8th Ave or you can park across 7th Ave next to the AT&T Building. If you have someone in a wheelchair or someone who can’t walk well please feel free to drop them off by the ramp in the back parking lot off of 8th Ave. We will gladly offer assistance if needed. No matter where you park our Security Team is watching to make sure your vehicle is safe.

When you arrive we encourage you to stop by our Welcome Center/Information Table (someone will probably show you the way). You will get a bag full of goodies, information about where things are located in the building, and have a chance to fill out a Connection Card. Donuts and coffee are served downstairs from 9:30 to 9:55 each Sunday morning, so feel free to stop by and get a treat before service starts.

If you have children you can take them to their classes starting at 9:50 a.m. The nursery is located upstairs in the back of the sanctuary. The Pre-School and Kids Church are located on the 2nd floor of the main part of the building (we will gladly show you where it is). Once you check your kids in they will stay in the same location until you go get them after the service is over. You are welcome to stay and observe the kids classes. Our Security Team keeps constant watch over our children’s areas to keep them safe.

Our service begins at 10:00am. We are passionate about praise and worship and try to offer a variety of styles and genres from hymns to gospel to contemporary. Occasionally there is also a choir. We believe strongly in teaching God’s Word, so the messages are full of Scripture and relevant application to life in today’s culture. The service will last about an hour and a half. We welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit and power of God in every service. We make room for God to do whatever He wants to, but we know God doesn’t do anything that isn’t decent or orderly (no weird stuff).
